North Yorkshire Trading Standards have received a number of calls
concerning traders cold calling residents in the Harrogate, Skipton and
Grassington area of North Yorkshire offering to do roofing work which is
not needed, often stating there is further work to be done at an
inflated cost.
Remember any quote exceeding £42 must be accompanied by paperwork offering a 14 day cooling off period.
Residents are advised not to accept cold callers and if they have any worries or concerns, to contact North Yorkshire Trading standards on 03454 04 05 06
