Motorcyclist dies after collision near Sutton-in-Craven
Further to our appeal following a serious collision on Friday 5 December at Sutton in Craven involving a motorcyclist.
We can now advise, that sadly the 24-year-old motorcyclist who was airlifted to Leeds General Infirmary following the crash, died later that same evening.
We are not yet in a position to release his identity.
The collision occurred at 2pm on Friday 5 December 2014 on Pole Road, Sutton-in-Craven, approximately 1¼ miles from the junction with Green Dykes Road.
It involved a black Sukida motorcycle displaying 'L' plates travelling westbound and possibly, a black car travelling in the opposite direction.
Witnesses to the collision are asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2 and ask for the Major Collision Investigation Unit. Alternatively, information can be emailed toMCIT@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk
