Police issue image of suspected Skipton shoplifter
Skipton police have released an image of a man they need to trace following an incident of shoplifting in the town.
The theft occurred at 11.30am on Tuesday 29 April 2014, from a shop on Snaygill industrial estate.
It is believed the man placed a Dewalt power drill in his pocket before buying a tape measure. However, he left the store without paying for the drill.
The man is described as being white, 5ft 11in tall with a stocky build and short dark brown hair. He was wearing a blue t-shirt and a black body warmer.
PC William Moyle, investigating the theft, said: "If you are the man caught on camera and you are not responsible for this theft, please contact me straight away so that I can eliminate you from my enquiries.
"I also need to anyone who can identify the man and ask them to contact the police as soon as possible."
