We have received information, that suggests a male in his thirties has
been recently in the Embsay area, portraying himself as a tradesman.
This person is believed to have been door to door, pointing out bogus
essential work requirements to properties belonging to elderly residents.
Once
the resident agrees to allow him to carry out the repairs. He asks for
an extortionate amount of money, without even fixing the so called
problem. If this male is seen in any area please contact North Yorkshire
